Land Rover has tacitly admitted that Range Rover Sport buyers are different to Range Rover customers: the Stealth Pack unveiled today is a personalisation programme which makes RRS models stand out from the crowd. Available on HSE Dynamic and Autobiography Range Rover Sport models only, the Stealth Pack is ironically named: it's designed to make owners stand out, rather than melt into the background. But then that's always been the way with the Range Rover Sport, the model that likes to show off a little more than its more restrained big brother.
Maserati Kubang SUV Video
There was a time when we expected everyone from Ferrari to Lamborghini and Bentley to Rolls Royce to cobble together a luxury SUV to tempt buyers. That fad went away for a while, but now its back and we have the first SUV in a generation from a maker of Italian exotica – the Maserati Kubang SUV – and this video of the Kubang on the road. Interestingly, although the Kubang is supposedly the start of this video, it only turns up in the final third, with the first two thirds dedicated to showcasing Maserati’s performance pedigree – past and present.
BMW has converted its i3 electric hatchback into a three-door. Munich might call it the new BMW i3 Concept Coupe, but essentially it's the hatch minus a pair of doors. Receiving its world debut at the 2012 Los Angeles auto show, which starts later today, the new BMW concept car is another spin-off from the Project i electric car family and proves that Munich plans a whole family of EVs when the range launches in 2013.
